OUR STORY

Fresh Flours Bakery was founded in 2005 when Keiji and Etsuko, pastry lovers and entrepreneurs from Tokyo, brought their unique vision to Seattle. Blending their experiences with a passion for Japanese-inspired baking and French pastry, they created a neighborhood bakery that quickly grew into a beloved collection of four cafés across the city.

In 2021, as Keiji and Etsuko prepared for retirement, they invited us—Scott and Paul Tupper, brothers and co-owners of Onda Origins—to carry on the Fresh Flours legacy. As a local specialty coffee roaster, we shared their deep commitment to quality, care, and community. The fit felt natural.

At the end of 2021, Onda acquired Fresh Flours. Today, our partnership is reciprocal: Fresh Flours serves Onda coffee, and Onda cafés proudly offer Fresh Flours pastries. Together, we’re honoring the traditions Keiji and Etsuko built while growing something fresh and local.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to steward their legacy and look forward to welcoming you to one of our Seattle cafés soon.
