We’re located on Phinney Ave, just north of the Woodland Park Zoo and near plenty of other local businesses and destinations.
-
Our plain croissant is a well-practiced classic and a longtime favorite among customers. We’re also known for our Kouign-amann (a sweet and salty layered butter croissant), our Basque cake, and a range of rotating in-house fresh fruit danishes, among others. Stop by and decide for yourself what’s most deserving of the title Most Popular!
-
We source from only the highest quality, local ingredients — we refuse to cut corners. We also ensure that our daily display of handmade pastries include vegan and gluten-free options.
-
Our sister company, Onda Origins Roastery & Cafe, roasts all our coffee by hand in Hillman City in South Seattle. Onda sources directly from (very) small-scale specialty coffee farmers around the world, and shares additional revenue with farmers from every pound they roast.
-
Yes! We have lots of indoor tables, chairs, couches, and bar seating, as well as a few outdoor tables with chairs in front of the cafe. Our wifi is strong and reliable so you can get some work done. It can get pretty busy on the weekends, so keep that in mind as you plan your trip!
More About THE Phinney Ridge Bakery
Tucked into Seattle's Phinney Ridge neighborhood, just steps from Woodland Park Zoo, Fresh Flours has been serving handcrafted pastries, artisan baked goods, and locally roasted specialty coffee since 2005. A longtime neighborhood favorite, the bakery is known for combining classic pastry techniques with a spirit of creativity. We draw inspiration from a variety of culinary traditions—including the Japanese roots that helped shape its early story.
Today, Fresh Flours is beloved for its welcoming atmosphere and quality-driven approach. From buttery croissants, fruit galettes, and flakey kouign amanns to distinctive house favorites, every pastry reflects the bakery's unique character. All our pastries are handmade made with care and pair perfectly with locally roasted coffee from sister company Onda Origins in Hillman City, South Seattle.
The Phinney Ridge café offers a relaxed, unhurried setting with both indoor and outdoor seating; it's a natural gathering place for neighbors, families, and visitors alike. Regulars return for favorites like the Basque cake, ham and cheese croissant, twice-baked almond croissant, and matcha latte. Whatever you're up to in the neighborhood -- whether you're just passing through or looking for a place to meet a friend or get some work done -- Fresh Flours delivers the kind of quality and hospitality that keeps people coming back.
Unlike many cafés that source pastries from elsewhere or bakeries that outsource their coffee program, we take pride in crafting both. Every pastry and drink reflects our commitment to quality, consistency, and craftsmanship across the board. Our team sets a high bar because we believe every visit should be memorable—from the atmosphere and service to the high quality of our food, coffee, and tea.
Fresh Flours Phinney Ridge offers a welcoming, unpretentious bakery experience rooted in Seattle tradition. We're proud to be the neighborhood bakery that locals return to again and again.
